Our Story
Bola Prep Academy was founded by Brian Barre, a former Colorado Rockies outfielder and University of Southern California graduate, and opened its doors in Pomona in 2025.
The idea was simple: bring the structure, technology, and standards of professional sport to student-athletes, without letting their education take a back seat. The result is a capped, full-day academy where training and academics are held to the same high bar.
What We Believe
Talent is common. Development is earned. We build athletes with deliberate periodization, objective data, and real accountability, on the field and in the classroom.
A small roster keeps it personal. Every athlete is coached off their own assessment numbers, and every family sees the progress.

Brian Barre
Former Colorado Rockies outfielder and USC graduate. Sets the training philosophy and leads the academy.
Wallace Gonzalez
Runs day-to-day operations and keeps the academy moving for athletes and families.
Gavyn Alexander
Leads periodized performance training and the assessment program.

Develops defensive skill work and game-ready fundamentals.
